Project Description:

A girl that loves technology is given a doll that just says the same 5 things over and over again. With this not being good enough she gives her doll an upgrade...... Students were challenged to create a character while only given a popsicle stick glued to close pins for legs and other random supplies.  Students need to create a character, their Doll-E 1.0. Students have to create a descriptive statement and then record the descriptive statement into Scratch.

Integration:

ELA:

Students create a character and are required to write a descriptive statement about their character.

The class uses PHET online interactive circuits to learn how the Makey Makey works and investigate electrical circuits.

Engineering:

Students, with help, attach Makey Makey to characters touch pads engineering electrical circuits.

Students engineer, build, a character that can stand on its own.
