Overview:

Students are introduced to basic computer operations, ethical computer use, and proper computer handling. This develops foundational skills that can be applied and built upon both in future STEAM foundation classes and their other classes.

 

Project:

Students participate in activities entitled Book Engineering.  Book engineering is the process of taking the overall theme of the book or main problem the main character has to overcome and solving it as well.

 

Integration:

Students are required to type series of assignments helping them locate where letters are located on the keyboard, associate capital and lowercase letters,  and type basic foundational words including their name and site words being used in their regular classes.
